Jonathan Reed Leads Startups' Life Cycles
In addition to co-founding the global credit market analysis and information provider Debtwire, Jonathan Reed is an entrepreneur who strives to expand his horizons. Similar to how Debtwire opens up access to information on thousands of companies’ credit market interactions to ordinary investors, Jonathan Reed oversees companies at all stages of development.
While Jonathan Reed served as Acuris Global’s global managing director, he led the fixed income division’s innovation committee. He received promising ideas and determined which products to create or which businesses to acquire. Between 2008 and 2020, he launched seven new products and completed two purchases of like-minded firms before integrating them into the fixed-income division.
To gain experience in different industries, Jonathan Reed led startup development across industries like ESG and real estate. He serves on three startups’ boards and, as of 2024, has completed one firm’s funding. He has also planned multiple companies’ exit strategies, including what to do after a PE (private equity) acquisition.
